Academic Development

Path to successThe primary goal of the programs offered by the Office of Academic Development is to help students achieve their full academic potential. Each year in medical school presents students with a host of new learning challenges. As a result, despite having done well in college, many medical students encounter test-taking difficulties or find they have inefficient study habits. In some cases this results in poor performance, a high level of anxiety and stress, and even failure. To help students avoid and overcome obstacles to their effective learning, Academic Development works closely with both students and faculty by offering counseling, tutorials and testing, in both individual and group settings.
