Are you thinking about pursuing a degree in a Health Related field but you are unsure of which field is right for you?

Are you considering a change in career, and you are leaning toward the Health Professions?

Have you completed at least 60 college credits (equivalent to 2 years of college) including the basic natural science courses, and are looking for the suitable major?

Have your friends, classmates, coworkers or someone in the field told you about the programs at SUNY Downstate, and now you want to learn more?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the SUNY Downstate 2009 Open House is just for you!

At this event you will learn about the professional programs in Nursing, Public Health and Allied Health Professions that we offer. You will also have the opportunity to talk with faculty members and current students from each of the programs represented. At the Open House you will receive important information to help you decide which profession is best for you.

If you already know the program to which you wish to apply, and you have specific questions related to this program, then the Program Information Sessions are the place for you. The Information Sessions for Prospective Students provide the following services:

  1. More information about the specific health professions program
  2. An opportunity to meet the faculty in small group and to raise your questions regarding the profession and program at Downstate
  3. The faculty and Admissions’ staff provide advisement about prerequisite course requirements and admissions criteria.
