Welcome Letter from the Associate Dean

Photo of Carla Boutin-FosterThe Office of Academic Diversity Programs is responsible for implementing, sustaining, and evaluating structured programs that will attract and retain students, trainees, and faculty from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in medicine and biomedical research. The Office provides a nurturing and supportive environment that will cultivate the next generation of diverse leaders in medicine, biomedical research, and public health.

The Office supports an array of programs that will advance the Medical College’s ability to remain at the forefront of delivering patient-centered and culturally sensitive care, to be a leader in cross-cultural medical education, to pioneer interdisciplinary health equity research, and to advocate for social justice and community engagement.

We hope you will find the information provided in our website valuable in helping you explore your future career in the health care professions. If you have further questions or if we can be of any assistance, please contact our office.
