Dear Dr. Hill
It is truly a pleasure to write to you on behalf of the Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and Hofstra University Minority Association of Pre-medical Students (MAPS). The SNMA is the nation's oldest and largest student organization focused on the needs of minority medical and premedical students. With a rich history of community service and educational opportunities, the SNMA continues to advocate for improved health care services and education to meet the needs of minority and underserved populations.
The Hofstra University SNMA and MAPS chapters of Region IX cordially invites you to take part in our upcoming Regional Conference, entitled “Black Lives Matter – Social, Cultural, and Health Equity and Competency.” The purpose of this conference is to provide our attendees with the opportunity to network with high school, undergraduates, medical students, residents, and physicians. This conference will be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine.
One of the goals of our conference is to provide our members with exposure to top-ranking programs committed to excellence and diversity in medicine. As such, one of the main events planned is the College, Medical School and Residency Program Fair. If your institution would be interested in participating in this fair, please register via the Eventbrite link: Regional Medical Education Conference. This fair would give your program/institution an opportunity to gain exposure and publicity to a targeted audience. Each table is allowed to have a maximum of two people at the table (their tickets are completely complimentary with registration). If your institution is unable to attend this fair, you also have the opportunity to advertise your program in our conference program. If you are interested in advertising in our program book, please see the attached form.
