Vocational and Education Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID)

VESID provides vocational rehabilitation services to eligible individuals to prepare them for suitable jobs. The New York State office services individuals with emotional, mental, learning, and physical disabilities.

Any resident of New York State, who has a substantial disability and can become employable, may apply for assistance through VESID. VESID offers a wide variety of services, including counseling and job placement. Financial assistance in paying for the costs of college training can be provided if the student shad financial need.

VESID has offices in every borough of New York City. Individuals should contact the office in their home borough to obtain application information. The Brooklyn VESID office is located at 55 Hanson Place, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11217, (718) 722-6700.
