Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

Office of Diversity Programs in Clinical Care, Research, and Training

The Office of Diversity Programs in Clinical Care, Research, and Training was established to address disparities in cancer outcomes based on race, ethnicity, cultural differences, and socioeconomic status. To that end the office focuses its efforts on clinical care to improve the use of screening, diagnostic, and treatment programs by minority patients; on research to increase participation by minority patients in clinical trials; and on training to increase the representation of minority physicians and research scientists in oncology. Through the Summer Pipeline Program, the Office of Diversity Programs provides additional funding and support for first- and second-year students who are members of minority groups that are underrepresented in medicine ro participate in the NIH/NCI Medical Student Summer Fellowship Program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. To learn more about the Summer Pipeline Program or other clinical and research opportunities for minority medical students at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, please contact us at the Office of Diversity Programs via e-mail at diversity@mskcc.org or telephone at (212) 639-3294.

On-line applications will be available beginning January 2008. Please visit our website for additional information: www.mskcc.org/summerfellowships
