Admission Requirements

Doctor of Nursing Practice

BS to DNP (FNP or WHNP Concentration)

  1. A Bachelor of Sciences degree from a nationally accredited college or university accredited and recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) such as: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Higher Learning Commission, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
  2. A current unencumbered New York State R.N. license
  3. A current American Heart Association (AHA) card/certificate for BLS for Healthcare Provider or ACLS
  4. One year clinical experience post baccalaureate degree is preferred
  5. Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale preferred

MS to DNP (Post Masters DNP)

  1. Master of Science from a nationally accredited college or university institutionally accredited and recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) such as: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Higher Learning Commission, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. 
  2. Current unencumbered New York State R.N. license
  3. Current unencumbered New York State Nurse Practitioner license in the specialty of either Family Health or Womens Health 
  4. A current American Heart Association (AHA) card/certificate for BLS for Healthcare Provider or ACLS
